Just because a hurricane misses your part of
the state doesn't mean that Amtrak won't suspend service because of
debris on the track in another part of the state. I had planned to
arrive in NY on Friday evening, but didn't make it until Saturday
noon due to the aforementioned suspension of Amtrak service, courtesy of
Isabel.
Bexley made a prototype called the M100, modeled after Pelikan's 100/100N series. I purchased mine,
with a broad stub nib, from Bill Weakley.

Bill Weakley always seems to have some off-beat or unusual
pens.

Pam Braun, in addition to offering pens at great
prices, is a wonderful person. She also bears an astonishing
resemblance to Annie Lennox. Amazingly, by the time I made it around to
her table early on Saturday afternoon, she had already sold almost every
pen she brought with her.
I finally found some Sheaffer burgundy ink, which is
now discontinued. Unfortunately it has more of a purplish lavender
hue than the deeper reddish hue I expected. While I was
disappointed with the color, my kids love it.
