I dropped out in March of 1973. I was a textile salesman in the New York Garment Center.A year or so earlier I was invited to spend a week in Albuquerque with a friend who had just lost his wife. When I got back to New York I put my house on the market. When the house finally sold, My wife went to Albuquerque to find a house, which she did, with the help of my friend. I had no trouble finding work, and eventually wound up as a Maintainence Man at the University Of New Mexico (My First and Only Blue Collar Job) I stayed there 23 years and and retired two years ago .
I ran the crew that took care of the university's 200 apartment complex for married and single parent students. Great job!
My interest in pens started when I bought a Sheaffer Aspen. Then I bought a Hunter Green Balance. After that , I found out there were vintage pens out there. After bouncing around, collecting this and that, I settled on Sheaffer Flattops and any Flattop made by Sheaffer with a different name (Craig Pens As An Example). I consider myself a lucky person as both my son and daughter are happily married and make more money than I do.
