Hi! I have been serious about fountain pens all my life, and used them since school - so long ago now (grin sadly) but since finding the internet I have really been serious, and have now got a collection of about 100 pens - ever changing of course - but find myself drawn to vintage Parkers, vintage MBs, modern Japanese Maki-e or Urushi - and eyedropper fillers if possible (I even convert some) - and of course my fair share of 'bling' - sterling silver pens - one-off hand-made pens.........Rossi and Broadwell are here! Modern pens are mainly Bexleys, but there are a good number of Sheaffers, old and new too - calligraphy is also covered, but sadly not practiced enough.
I think you could safely say I am a true 'pen floozie'!!!
What is most important to me in a pen is the nib - of course - and I do like flex, character, anything that helps my aging scribble to be readable! Italic, oblique - nibs with pazzazz - and then there are the bottles of ink.......about one per pen at the last count!
I am married to Ray, who was my first husband and is now my third - complicated I know! We have recently moved house from Walcha in NSW to just outside Hobart in Tasmania - and we love it here. Our Rottie girl, Mollie, loves the beach, as we do, and being close to such a wonderful little City is such luxury after living in the bush.
Writing is what I spend a lot of time on - snails that is - and will rejoin the snail list at the next intake.
My other life is knitting socks and quilting - and trying to learn how to use my Nikon D70 to its full capacity!!!
I also like to cook - but should be eating lettuce for a whole year before I do any more damage - (sad grin)!
