My old bio is really out of date, so here is a new one. I have been collecting pens since the late 1990's and I have a former girlfriend to blame for getting me hooked. I tend to collect Parker (pre 1980), Pelikan (post 1950) and what I would call my assorted Italian file, so I am halfway between a collector and a user. I am also one of the co-organizers of the Toronto Pen Show and I find that quite rewarding to put an event on for the Southern Ontario/Up State New York pen community. I recently changed careers, I left the world of marketing and sales for public relations and I am still going to night school for that. I love it, the only downside, I am really busy. I do have one other hobby I am perhaps more passionate about than pen collecting, they are both in a dead heat really, and that is photography. I still use film, I am starting to develop my own black and white images and have yet another side hobby collecting camera gear, if you think pens are expensive.... I am on the snail list and it would be nice to hear from any pen collectors/ photographers out there. Bill Smith
