Jack Dugrew (Jack Dugrew)
On Snail List Biography # 337 email: Jdugrew@nyc.rr.com

Hi. My name is Jack Dugrew and have been seriously collecting fountain pens for more than five years with demonstrator pens, my special interest. I have used fountain pens for all of my writing throughout my lifetime. Having attended a parochial grammar school, in the 50's, fountain pens were mandatory and the good sisters insisted that everyone develop their penmanship skills. My first pen of quality was a black Sheafer Valiant that I received as a birthday gift from my grandmother. I used it daily throughout High School and College and still have it to this day. It's been resacked several times and re-nibbed twice and is still in my rotation of pens.

Following college and a tour with the Rangers in Vietnam, I worked in the Engineering arena for 33 years. I am now happily retired and have more time to devote to my hobbies, which include pen collecting, camera collecting and photography, big game fishing and of course, my family. While, I haven't developed a web site for my pen collecting hobby, I have several web sites on the internet covering some of my camera collecting specialties. See my non-pen URL's.
