I'm an elderly dowager who feels much more comfortable contemplating the widow at Windsor than Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton. I made pen wipers for my father when I was young and went to school when you had to be in sixth grade before you could use a "ball-point pen" (generically called BICS back then). Before that, we used Shaffer cartridge pens. I spent my childhood with inky fingers (as I do today).
I am traumatized because of all the nice paper I have that causes feathering. I only have about 50 pens; if they don't work for me, if I do not develop an affinity, I give them away. As much as I love my pens, I don't think that they are the most interesting things I have to discuss. I love to talk about books. I like the good stuff undiluted. I am serious about it.
I would like to write to more people. I have become a quintessential eccentric cat lady, but I don't like to write about it that much.
My hand is not pretty and I've decided that I don't have enough time in life to improve it. Binderizing has helped, however.
Other interests: poetry, reading, cats, travel
